We would rather share the packaging decisions we have actually made than describe an ambition. Here is how we package and ship our products today, what happens to that packaging when you are finished with it, and the parts we have not solved.
-
Eco-friendly, reusable tubes
Every deodorant ships in an eco-friendly mineral tube instead of the molded plastic stick most brands use. It is built to be refilled and reused rather than replaced, and it is our biggest material decision.
-
Refills
Our refills are 100% biodegradable. Deodorant is a repeat purchase, so the packaging decision is not made once. It is made again every time someone runs out. Making the repeat purchase the lighter one matters more than making the first one perfect.
-
Eco-friendly shipping
We ship orders in molded pulp and paper tape. We never use plastic bubble wrap, plastic void fill, or a second box around the first one.
-
Small-batch production
We make everything by hand in Florida in limited runs. That is partly a quality decision and partly a waste one. Producing to demand rather than to a forecast means we make less stock that nobody buys.
What we have not solved yet
We do not claim to be carbon neutral. We have not measured our complete environmental footprint. We rely on standard couriers whose emissions we cannot control. And we have no take-back program for used tubes. These are real gaps. We will update this page as we make real progress, and until then we would rather write them down than leave them out.
Every ingredient, in full
The same standard applies to what is inside the tube as to the tube itself. Every product page lists the complete formula and explains what each part is doing.
